MechWarrior: Online - Jagermech JM6-S Build (Poor Man's Ilya)

What I've noticed, is that a lot of people really want to give triple UAC5 a shot. The only problem is, that the best Mech that can utilise 3 UAC5s is the Cataphract HeroMech, Ilya Muromets. It literally does this better than any other Mech so far.

However not everyone is willing to buy MC, for various reasons. Which means the next best option is to use either the Jagermech JM6-S or the Jagermech JM6-DD. I'll be using the JM6-S as that is my favourite Jagermech variant (HeroMech notwithstanding).
I reject the current Meta and substitute... errr... something else!! Now check out this build!!

Note: If you are buying an XL Engine to use this build, buy a 265 XL Engine (260 XL and 265 XL weigh exactly the same), otherwise if you already have a 260 XL from your JM6-DD then just use that.

As you can clearly see, this build is not much different from the Ilya Muromets Chainsaw build, and would literally play exactly the same. However you can "snipe" better as your arms are mounted higher. Do what the Jagermech does best! Hide and shoot over a rock.

In comparison the the Ilya Muromets Chainsaw build, you only 7 Tons of UAC5 Ammo and you lack AMS. This is why I say the Ilya Muromets does triple UAC5 the best. It can have 3 Medium Lasers, AMS and a huge amount of ammo.

However 7 Tons is just enough (emphasis on the word "just"). This is assuming you have good accuracy and good fire control. You can forgo the 2 Medium Lasers for either AMS or more Ammo, but I prefer them there just in case you need them.

Another alternative is [This]. You can simply replace both Medium Lasers for 2 Small Lasers and remove 0.5 Tons of Armour and you can equip AMS (including 1 Ton of AMS Ammo).

Either way, your main weapon is the 3 UAC5s. I've now learnt; not to bother Chain firing those 3 UAC5s and just fire all 3 at the same time. I do more damage that way, and when I jam I pull back into cover.
