MechWarrior: Online - Timber Wolf, TBR-PRIME (Any OmniVariant) Build

Truth be told; the title should actually read TBR-S (Any OmniVariant) Build rather than PRIME. Mostly because I actually used this build on my TBR-S; I managed to get to Master with this build!

During the grind; I partially fell in love with this build (its got nothing to do with the Anime character I named it off). Ironically it doesn't even have CSRM6s!! Or any SRMs for that matter!!

One can argue that it's kind of a "cheesey" build. And I would agree with thee to a certain degree. But it actually takes quite a bit of skill to use this build. More so than the simple "MetaWolf" of a CGauss and 2 CERPPC! After all; it takes someone with good heat management skills to actually pilot today's build.

Check it out right meow!

TBR-PRIME "Misaka" (3x CERPPC, Targeting Comp. MK I & 2x JJ)

Smurfy MechLab: [Link]
Role: Sniper
Speed: 81 kph
Firepower: 45
Armour: 403
Cost: N/A

Weapon Groups
Primary Weapon Group: 2 CERPPC (Torsos)
Secondary Weapon Group: 1 CERPPC (Arm)
Tertiary Weapon Group: 2 CERPPC (Torsos & Chain Fire)
Quaternary Weapon Group: All 3 CERPPC (Chain Fire)

I actually found this build whilst I was loitering around MechSpecs. I saw this build and was like "Jesus Christ!! Triple CERPPC? Are they insane or what? How is this volcano of a build even considered good?!" From here I totally disregarded the build and basically remade my SplatWolf "Chiba Erika" with the TWolf-S.

It was only after taking on (and losing horribly) against the bloody MetaMechs of bloody Gauss and PPC (CGauss and CERPPC) that I needed something new. Something that could match them for range and Firepower! I then reconsidered the Triple CERPPC build, and here I am today, telling you this build is actually worth it!!

As usual however; it might've come from MechSpecs; but I of course have to put my own spin on things, some modifications if you will.

First of all; this build run's super hot! I highly recommend you get full Elite before you use this build! Either that or have experience in piloting a volcano. This build runs super hot! NEVER Alpha Strike (unless the enemy has their ass to you). You can only Alpha one with no heat before you reach approx 90% heat (give or take). Your best option instead; is to fire the 2 Torso mounted ones; then fire the Arm mounted one. You'll avoid the heat penalties.

Once you reach about, 70% - 80% heat, I recommend you start using the Chain Fire Weapon Groups. Fire sparingly as you wait for your heat to dissipate. If you really must brawl; you only have 10 seconds (give or take) to kill the enemy before your heat gets the better of you.

Thanks to the latest patch as well (2nd July); Targeting Computers now work!! From what I feel; if you have the spare tonnage and Crit Slot, make sure you mount at least one of these. The benefits are truly amazing! I don't recommend mounting a Targeting Comp. higher than a MK IV. I reckon MK IV is probably the most tonnage you should ever spare for a targeting comp.
