MechWarrior: Online - Atlas HeroMech Revealed

Everyone believed that the Founder's Mechs (Jenner, Hunchback, Catapult and Atlas) would never have a HeroMech released. How wrong we were. It would seem we are now definitely getting HeroMechs for the Jenner, Hunchback, Catapult and Atlas; the first of which is the Atlas, dubbed "Boar's Head".

I have a feeling, this Atlas HeroMech will be released next week. I'm betting I'll be right XD

If anyone pays any attention to Sarna, the BattleTech Wiki, one would realise that the Boar's Head is based off a well known Atlas Custom Variant, the AS7-D Atlas Danielle.

AS7-D Atlas Danielle - Piloted by Wolf's Dragoons Captain Danielle Rondema, this modified Atlas carried three medium lasers in each arm, trading away the SRM rack to do so. The additional heat was dissipated by two additional heat sinks that replaced the rear-firing medium lasers.

If this is the case, there is a high chance this Atlas will not be different from any other Atlas. The Engine will most likely be a Standard 300, so there'll be no speed difference (not like Atlases were fast anyway). I highly doubt Endo Steel and Double Heat Sinks would already be attached.

This is assuming the Boar's Head is similar to Danielle's Custom Atlas.

But let's take a look at the image properly. The first thing you'd notice, is that the image is mirrored (confirmed by a PGI Moderator too). So let me fix this for you.

So what do we see? The Boar's Head appears to have 3 Medium Lasers per arm, with a Ballistic weapon (probably an AC/20) in the Right Torso and a Missile weapon (probably an LRM 20) in the Left Torso. So my guess, is that the Boar's Head comes with 3 Energy Hardpoints, 1 Ballistic Hardpoint and 1 Missile Hardpoint. This gives the Mech a total of 8 Hardpoints.

There is a slim possibility, that there will be 2 Ballistic Hardpoints in the Right Torso, instead of 1. Slim chance, but it is a possibility.

Anyway, I'm very fond of this look for the Atlas, I particularly like the word "PIG " displayed on the left Arm. What I'd hope is that each finger (no thumb) has a single letter spelling "PORK CHOP".

Just a note, this HeroMech is going to be super expensive, coming in at a whopping 7500 MC!! Maybe it'll be best to wait for it when it's on sale eh?
