MechWarrior: Online - Saber Reinforcement, More Unseen BattleMechs

The Unseen BattleMechs are really making a comeback!! I seriously can't believe it! We're still missing the Warhammer and Marauder; as well as the other Macross Unseen. But oh well.

Least we're getting the Wolverine and Griffin!!
Project Phoenix is a go! The Unseen are back! After all these years, they are back! Back with a vengeance! Welcome to the battlefield; Locust, Shadow Hawk, Thunderbolt and Battlemaster! Welcome, a further 2 additions; Wolverine and Griffin!!
I personally am really digging the new looks for these 2 Unseen Mechs. Both look very similar to the original TRO art, yet they have that extra MWO feel. Take note of the Griffin's shoulders. They too have the very same large shoulders of the original TRO art. From what I can see, they'll act as very good shields!! Might even be better than the Centurion's shield arms!!

Both however, look as if they'll suffer from XL Engine issues. Those side torsos look extremely easy to hit!!

Hardpoint wise, the Griffin is very one-sided. However that is also an advantage in that it can use its whole left side as a shield (this includes both the Left Arm and Left Torso)!!

It basically acts very similar to the Centurion, it might not carry the same "Zombie" capabilities, but it's those Missile Hardpoints and Energy Hardpoints that make it so. I can imagine fitting 3 SRM 6 + Artemis IV in those Missile Hardpoints along with 3 Medium Lasers in the Right Arm.

The Wolverine however feels very similar to the Shadow Hawk in terms of Hardpoints; they're just in different locations. It do sacrifice 1 Ballistic Hardpoint for more Jump Jets in comparison.

What I reckon; these Unseen Mechs might just make it into the category of best Medium Mechs in MWO. All 3 Phoenix Medium Mechs are 55 Tons, and they each have Jump Jets!

I've been hearing that many people are giving PGI some very big hate on this release. I personally have no clue why, nor do I care. I'm just happy to see more Unseen Mechs making it into the game. They've never appeared in any game as far as I'm aware. So this is their first release in a game. Without a doubt they'll be good!

Order all Phoenix Mechs (now there's 18 Mechs in total in the package) here!!

    1. Cheers and no problem! I was hoping to write something longer and more detailed, with a proper rundown and explanation. But all that would've merely been speculation.

I'll post up a proper rundown, how they function and my thoughts once they're released!
